The blonde's expression was perplexed and clearly still unconvinced but he didn't say anything for a while, so that he could think things through. He supposed it was possible that she'd been trying to talk Vincent up because she knew he was a vampire and had wanted him to like Vincent from the time he was born, so he wouldn't get too freaked out when he found out. It was also true that Vincent had been a wonderful influence on him and had been there as a support at times when even his mother wouldn't suffice. But all of that didn't quite add up, there'd always been some sort of undertone - an undercurrent, as Vincent had declared he'd felt about Steve - that had given Owen the impression there was more.
He couldn't put his finger on what it was but he was influenced by the fact that Vincent seemed unperturbed by it enough to not worry about it now. The problem facing them was how they'd tell her they were fucking and how she might react. He giggled as he thought of one thing she might say, his eyes twinkling at Vincent now he'd stopped mentally pursuing the thought of his mother lusting after his lover. "What if she says you're too old for me?" he grinned.
