Picking up the remote as he unfolded off the bed, Tau left the room with a little smile in Alec\'s direction, deciding he\'d obviously overstepped the mark with that comment and that he was best to leave it at that.  He wasn\'t aware what she expected from him and he hadn\'t said anything to her that had been deliberately provocative, but she\'d blushed again and he\'d at least figured out that that meant he\'d done something.

He walked out to the lounge area and began switching things off - the television, lights - as he headed for the kitchen.  He got a glass of water, drank it standing over the sink and rinsed the cup before tipping it upside down on the drainer.  After that, he went to the toilet and headed for his bedroom, looking for Alec to bid farewell to on the way, planning to close his door, strip off and sleep.

As Tau left the room Alec put her face in her hands and sat on the edge of the bed. She didn\'t know how this was going to work, living with Tau, but she desperately wanted it to. She didn\'t know why she felt like that but she stood again, making her way to her own room.
